In today’s fast-moving media world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by information. This two-day intensive workshop helps you sharpen both your English and your critical eye — so you can read, listen, and talk about the news with confidence and insight. We’ll dive into international newspapers, news websites and social media to explore how English-language media shapes our view of the world. Along the way, you’ll expand your vocabulary, strengthen your comprehension, and learn how to spot bias and fake news.

Across two dynamic sessions, we’ll:

• Read and discuss authentic news articles from international sources


• Practise expressing opinions and discussing current events


• Explore the role of social media and how information spreads online


• Learn strategies for recognising misinformation and verifying facts
